Why did you discontinue this item???!!!

Why would you discontinue this item after so many reviews that point out that this is the perfect bag?!? Then, you come out with a replacement product that is even bigger than this bag when pretty much all the reviews written point out that this was either the perfect size bag, and in some cases, even too big! Hmm, let’s take that feedback and stop making the perfect size bag which to some was even a little too big & replace it with an even bigger bag! Wait, what?!? Come on guys, were you listening???

Thanks for the review Joshua. We are happy you are so passionate about our gear and appreciate your feedback. Sorry to dissappoint you. We also received a lot of feedback to make the original briefcase larger. We heard from a lot of customers they wanted to be able to carry shoes in it as well which was difficult in the old design. We also made it suitable enough to take as an overnighter/quick trip bag...which I think we succeeded in making the bag even more useful. To some it is too big and to others it is perfect. Apologies the new Magnate isn't the perfect size for you. Maybe someday we will bring this design back to life but there are no immediate plans.

Best I've Seen!

Finally, a briefcase pannier worthy of the name! I've searched for years for a bag like this.

I wanted a bag that had more than one pocket, including a pocket to organize "office" things like pens, phone, wallet, keys, etc. With four pockets, this bag has exactly what I was looking for.The laptop sleeve is more than ample for my small x200 and feels well-cushioned. The mounting system is easy to use, and while I had my doubts when I saw it, it holds my bag tightly to my rack. It has reflective stripes, as every bag should. The padded shoulder strap is comfortable, as is the padded back that covers the mounting gear--I can barely feel the mounting hardware against me. It comes with the rain cover included, unlike others that make you buy it separately.

No bag is perfect, but all of these minor issues add up to just one star off--there is so much right and good about this bag that these items don't amount to much. The water bottle pockets are a REALLY tight squeeze on even my slim water bottles. I'm worried they'll pop out if I hit a bump. I haven't tried a standard size water bottle yet.. The zippers do start out a little stiff, but after a week's use, they loosened up. The lower strap to hold the bag to the bike can be awkward, but it's much better and more comfortable than a hard plastic arm/hook. The most annoying thing about the bag is that it tips forward when set down. It could use some rubber feet on the bottom to stabilize it.

Overall, a GREAT bag!

Hi Ken! Fabulous feedback! I think you painted a really honest picture that sums up just about every point we have heard from around the community on this bag. The four pocket layout is really the key signature! We are thrilled you finally found it! Thanks for riding with us and taking the time to leave your experience with the bag! We are pumped to have you riding with us!

GREAT BAG

I’m loving the attachment system and how much space the bag has. Typically I fit my computer, lunch, spare t-shirt and a bunch of stationary items in it and then it also fits my jacket and gloves for my ride how when it’s warmer out. It’s everything I’d hoped for.

Awesome Adam! So glad we were able to deliver the goods! Thanks for the awesome review! We hope you are keeping safe!

Really Great Bag for Cyclists That's Not a Backpack

I'm really loving my pannier briefcase bag. It's the easiest pannier I've owned to get on and off of the bike. Organization is useful and well thought out. The included rain cover is essential for Vancouver weather, particularly this Fall/Winter. The only niggles I have are the capacity, and the bag's tendency to tip forward. I know there have been several comments about the size being sufficient, but I wish for a little bit more room. I generally put a change of clothes (not shoes), lunch, and computer in the bag. I often find it difficult to fit all in. Secondly, I find whenever I put the bag down, it tilts or falls forward. I wish it would just sit flat and not fall over. Other than those two issues, it's a great bag that is really well made, looks good and easy to take on and off of my bike.

Thanks for riding with us Albert! Yay Vancouver! We appreciate you taking the time to write about your experience with the bag. Very useful for us to keep trying to make the bags better! Ride safe!
